Diatribe Records proudly present Lost Bees, the debut album from Roamer – a quartet of Ireland's most internationally active creative musicians.

Currently based in London, Cologne, Berlin and Dublin, all four musicians reunite regularly to compose and perform original music celebrating poetry and improvisation.

Lost Bees features original compositions from all members of the group, utilising and inspired by the poetry of London-based Irish literary artist Cherry Smyth. The highly collaborative nature of this project is further enhanced with post-production on ‘Haiku’ (track 5) from Swedish bassist, composer and producer Petter Eldh.

The album is physically released in the form of a limited edition Notebook printed by independent stationery manufacturer Badly Made Books and featuring Smyth’s poetry, as well as cover art from Natasha Pike.

The album is in part funded funded by an Arts Council of Ireland Project Award and was launched as a performance work at New Music Dublin 2022 as part of an 8 album launch series by Diatribe Records supported by the Arts Council of Ireland / An Chomhairle Ealaíon.
